| i remember last year reading dan's xanga entry with all his college choices and thinking to myself i wont have to deal with all that because ill be going to rutgers. =P however i still applied to a total of 7 schools and got waitlisted from wheaton, rejected from unc chapel hill, but accepted into rutgers, case western reserve, lehigh, nyu, and gwu. i have to make my decision by may 1st, and i still dont know where to go, though i have eliminated case western reserve and lehigh from my choices. that leaves nyu, gwu, and rutgers. cost is a factor, so heres what im gonna be paying for each with scholarships/grants: Rugers NB/Honors Program: about $5,000 New York University: $27,000 George Washington University: still waiting for financial aid package, hoping to knock it down from 53 to 20ish. i visited nyu this past tuesday and wasnt really impressed, no offense to you nyuers out there. maybe its too independant for me, or the fact that i dont really like the city. rutgers is okay i guess, but i dont want to be stuck with nerds if i do the honors program, but if i dont do the honors program ru isnt as prestigious as the other two. yesterday i visited gwu in DC, and i am smitten by it. i loved the community, the school, the faculty, and everything about it. but if i do go to nyu or gwu, i dont want to come out of college over 100 grand in debt... so tell me where i should go, and why, i'll think about it. =P |
